BSA M20 (& Norton 16H toi a lesser extent) was the archetype WW2 dispatch bike. Its single cylinder 500cc side valve engine and frame originally designed for sidecars kept it simple and bulletproof. I'd love to rumble on down the coast on one........Here's a link to the M20 website:
